Causes and frequency of crashes

There are, if you think about it, many reasons of why an airplane could crash. For example, it could have a fuel leak, the engines could be faulty, or the navigational systems fail. Yet even though there are many possible reasons of a crash, the frequency of crashes is very low, about 120 per year, few of which are fatal. So don't be scared when you get on an aircraft, for the chance of a crash is minimal.

  1. Niclas, now why did you decide to write about crashes? Have you ever been worried about flying?
